Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

We recognise the increased uncertainty that Coronavirus (COVID-19) may be causing and would like to offer our reassurances that the health and wellbeing of our employees, florists, you our valued customers and your loved ones is always our number one priority.

Here you’ll find an update on where we’re at and we’ll answer some of the questions you might have about our gifts and services at this time.

We will continue to monitor the situation very closely and will amend our procedures if guidance changes.

Are florists open during Coronavirus?

In line with government guidance, our 1,200 local independent florists closed their shop doors as of 24th March 2020. Following an update, allowing non-essential retailers in England to open from 15th June and those in Scotland to open from 29th June, many of our florist shops have started to reopen. We know our florists cannot wait to welcome you back into their shops and are working hard to ensure you feel as safe and comfortable as possible when you visit. Please be aware that opening times and days may vary, and some shops may not open right away. As always, you can also continue to shop with us online and for your peace of mind, we will carry on delivering your gifts contact-free.

What flowers are you delivering?

For a truly one-of-a-kind gift, we’re giving our florists creative license to design a seriously special hand-tied or arrangement on your behalf, using a mix of their very best in-store stems. It’s what we call our Florist’s Choice and it’s just like walking into a real florist shop!

Every Florist’s Choice Hand-tied is designed and created using only the freshest, most swoon-worthy stems as chosen by the florist (the clue really is in the name!). Because every design is unique and seasonal, we can’t guarantee exactly which flowers your florist will choose. What we absolutely can guarantee though is that the end result will really knock their socks off! How can we be so sure? Because it’s what our florists do every day of the week in their own shops on your local high street. Give them the opportunity and they’ll conjure up a marvellous bouquet in the way that only they know how.

You simply choose how much you’d like to spend, and let our fabulous florists take care of the rest.

How will my flowers be delivered?

For everyone’s peace of mind, we’ve introduced a truly contact-free delivery experience. How does it work? Our florist will place the flowers on the doorstep, knock on the recipient’s door and then stand back at a safe distance whilst they delight in their gift. They’ll be no hand-to-hand contact and no need to provide a signature on delivery and if your recipient is in self-isolation or unable to answer, we’ll leave the flowers in a safe place and post a calling card through the letterbox.

Where can I have flowers delivered?

To make things as easy as possible for you, our gift finder lets you see immediately if we have a florist who can currently deliver to the address you’d like to send flowers to. This will continually be updated with real-time availability of our florists.

Can I send flowers abroad during Coronavirus?

To contain the spread of Coronavirus, some countries have put restrictions in place on the movement of people and goods. This may impact deliveries in certain areas. Please see up to date information on our international flower delivery service by selecting the country you wish to send to here.

Can flowers carry Coronavirus?

According to information published on The World Health Organisation’s website: “the likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low.”

Can I amend an existing order?

If you’re worried about an order you’ve already placed because the recipient is now in self-isolation or the delivery address is to a venue that is no longer open, drop us a line with your order number at hello@interflora.co.uk and we’ll be happy to help.

I need help. When will you get back to me?

We’re sorry that it’s taking us a little longer than usual to reply. To keep our colleagues safe, we operating a smaller team than usual. Please bear with us and we’ll get back to you as soon as we possibly can. That’s a promise.
